World Usability Day 2007
World Usability Day 2007 is finally here, and this year the global focus is on healthcare. Usability in healthcare affects everything from medical forms and documentation to life-critical equipment. Usability aspects in healthcare can litterally be issues of life and death.
The South African event for this year's World Usability Day will take place on 20 November 2007. It is free, so anyone with an interest in usability may attend.
Guest Speaker, Elisa Del Galdo, Human Factors International's Chief Technical Officer for Europe, will discuss the return on investment of usability in general. Mark Beckerling from Med-e-Mass will commense focus on healthcare with a presentation on medical claim capturing tools for developing countries, and Sarit Arora, General Lead, Usability Centre of Excellence, Human Factors International India, together with David Bell from Human Factors International UK will end off with a case study on multi-cultural research to develop usable healthcare products
